The Big Lake Chamber of Commerce was formed in 1986. The Chamber meets the first and third Wednesday of each month at 12pm (noon) for lunch at Kathy’s Restaurant (formerly Mahoney’s) in the East Lake Mall, Big Lake. Guest speakers on a variety of topics of interest to our membership and community are invited to each meeting, and there are opportunities for member announcements and business spotlights.
Each year, the Chamber offers a $1,000 scholarship to a graduating senior at Houston High School. The Chamber hosts an annual joint membership meeting with neighboring chambers and community councils each May. A newsletter is published by the Chamber with advertising opportunities for members. The Chamber sponsors 6 major events each year.
